PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

ORAL PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

Oral presentation slots are 40 min for keynotes, 30 min for invited presentations and 20 min for contributed presentations, including 5 min for discussion, respectively. Session chairs will strictly enforce the session schedule in order to allow the audience to switch sessions between the presentations.

Presenters do not have to bring their own computer. There will be a laptop computer that will be available in the session room. Standard presentation equipment is Microsoft Windows Computers and Microsoft PowerPoint Software.

Using your own laptop computer for a presentation is allowed in the session room; however there will be a limited amount of connections available. Presenters using their own laptop must make sure that their computer has a DVI or VGA output. When using a Macintosh be sure you have your appropriate adapter.

The preferred presentation software format is MS PowerPoint or Acrobat. For the presentation, use standard fonts such as New Times Roman, Helvetica, Arial, Verdana. If you use a special font for your presentation it may not be translated properly on the session room computer.

The presentation must be handed out to the technical staff of the Berliner Congress Center one day before the presentation date but at least 30 minutes before the session begins. Therefore please use USB flash drive or CD/DVD-Rom.

Make sure you stay in your allowed time frame for the presentation. To ensure the simultaneity there will be an acoustic signal to announce the last minute. You will be stopped by the Session Chair after your time has elapsed.

There will be a technician in each session room to help with any technical issues.
